Companies can save time and money

Combining good economics and good IT solutions is something that Ulrika Andreasen is working hard on in the start-up company Digihelp.
- Helping customers with IT solutions to improve efficiency and logistics is the most fun thing I know. It saves both time and money

Ulrika has a degree in economics and systems science and has worked in many different companies, for example in the steel industry with finance and logistics for five years. She has also run her own accounting firm. The roles of economist and manager of various IT solutions have suited her.

- It has followed me throughout my career since I saw an opportunity to complement my economics education with IT skills, says Ulrika, who studied systems science and knows the basics of programming. But her speciality is database management.

She has worked with various checkout systems and with warehouse management solutions linked to e-commerce. Anyone who wants to sell both in their physical store and via their webshop can get help with a fully integrated solution from Ulrika.

- I help make sure that the inventory is linked directly to the accounting," she says.

For example, she has helped the Swedish Public Employment Service with digitalisation and automation.

- They had a large volume of supplier invoices that could be read by a robot and scanned directly into the financial system, she says, talking about machine learning, which means that the robot learns more and more as it works. It simply gets "smarter".

- What drives me is the desire to find good solutions for customers, and at the same time it's nice to be able to decide my own working hours," says Ulrika.

At the moment she is working hard to promote herself and is also participating in various business networks to make more contacts. The first thing she usually does when she meets new clients is a business analysis.

- I often do a SWOT analysis to see strengths and weaknesses. We start from the customer's needs and look at whether they might already have modules in their business systems that they are not using to their full potential," she says.

Digitization
Ulrika has also become involved in the New Business Centre, to give something back to the community after the help she herself has received.

At the moment Ulrika lives in Storfors. Working from home makes her working day flexible and she has taken on assignments as a sub-consultant for larger companies. One day a week she travels to different clients.

She has also been involved as a board member of the New Business Centre, where she herself has received a lot of help in starting a business. She also attends a mentoring programme through Almi.

- It feels good to be able to give something back because I got such a good start thanks to the New Business Centre," says Ulrika, who thrives on the flexibility of running her own business.

One of her latest projects is an assignment through the Compare Foundation in Karlstad. It has involved helping the Torsby retailers' association to find a common digital platform to market and sell everything from furniture and clothes to sports equipment.

Ulrika and her business partner have proposed a cost-effective solution with Fortnox inventory module that updates stock balances in real time and where the customer can choose between ten different cash solutions and as many different web-shop solutions.

- The solutions we propose are cloud-based and everything is already in place with various payment and shipping solutions for the customer, so users can get up and running quickly," says Ulrika, who believes the solution could be viable for many other merchant associations.
